VANI
An AI voice receptionist for clinics in Saudi Arabia. A patient calls, speaks Saudi Arabic, and books, moves or cancels an appointment.
What it will do
VANI is being built to answer a clinic's phone and to:
- Speak Saudi Arabic, in the caller's own dialect.
- Book, move or cancel an appointment: confirm the name, day and time the caller gave, and ask only for what is missing.
- Say it will check when asked about prices, hours or location it doesn't know, instead of making up an answer.
- Pass the call to a person straight away when the caller asks for one, is upset, or describes an emergency.
- Keep each reply to one or two sentences, because the caller hears it, not reads it.
- Follow callers who mix English words into their Arabic.
- After the call, give the clinic owner a dashboard of calls, transcripts and bookings.
VANI does not give medical advice. It books appointments, answers the clinic's own FAQs, and hands off to a person.
Who it's for
Clinics in Saudi Arabia whose front desk takes appointment calls, and the patients who make those calls in Saudi Arabic.
The test calls cover what those patients ask for: booking, rescheduling, cancelling, prices and insurance, opening hours and location, and speaking to a person.
Where it stands
Prototype stage. Nothing is live. A call has three parts, and each has been tested on its own. Joining them into one live call has not started.

Built with Claude
We develop VANI with Claude Code. In the product, Claude will write the post-call summary and outcome tags shown in the clinic's dashboard. We will also benchmark Claude Haiku as the conversation model.
Team and contact
VANI is built by a team of three in Saudi Arabia. Mohammed Fadel Semlali is the contact for the project.
